Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
This policy explains what data TicketSift("we", "us") collects when you use ticketsift.com, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect very little, we don't sell it, and we never see your payment details.
What we collect
- Usage data.Standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics: pages visited, approximate location (country/city level, derived from IP), device type and referrer. Used to understand what's working and keep the site secure.
- Search queries on our site. What events people search for, in aggregate, so we can improve coverage.
- Anything you send us. If you contact us, we keep the correspondence.
What we do NOT collect
- No account is needed to use the site.
- We never see or store payment details — purchases happen on the marketplace you buy from.
- We don't buy data about you from third parties.
Affiliate links
When you click through to a ticket marketplace, the link may contain an identifier telling that marketplace the visit came from us. That is how we earn commission (see how we make money). The marketplace's own privacy policy applies from the moment you land on their site.
Cookies
See our cookie policy. We keep cookies to the minimum needed to run the site.
Legal basis and your rights (UK GDPR)
We process the data above under legitimate interest (running and improving a free comparison service). You have the right to access, correct or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and the right to complain to the ICO. Contact us at hello@ticketsift.com for any request.
Retention and sharing
Server logs and analytics are retained for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised. We share data only with the service providers that host and run the site, and only for those purposes. We do not sell personal data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
